My wife and I met Wendy at a first time home buyers seminar she was hosting.We could see then how knowledgeable she was in all aspects of real estate and we knew that when the time came to purchase our first home, we would be contacting her. “Wendy is the best!” That is what my friend Dave told me when he recommended Wendy to me for my upcoming home purchase. And Dave was so absolutely right. Wendy is beyond “the best”. She is less of a Realtor, and more of a social worker. When you work with her, you are a project; nay, you are family!  She takes the time to understand what you are, and what would work for you, and then goes about finding it for you, and doesn’t rest until she gets it.
When we first started working with Wendy, we gave her all sorts of mixed requirements. These were passed on to her on the phone without ever meeting her. When we did finally arrive in Minneapolis and then met with her – more than a year after our initial contact – Wendy started showing us places that met our criteria (one level living). She contacted builders and spent an endless amount of time trying to talk to the agents. She asked all the right questions – things we hadn’t even thought of!
Realizing that building a new house would require time that we did not have, we decided to include two story houses in our search. More than us, Wendy was disappointed in not being able to find us a one-story home which was our
initial requirement. When we did find a two-story home that we liked, the first thing she said was “but this is not a one-story”. The one thing Wendy said repeatedly during our searches was “I don’t want you to compromise.” Once we assured her that we weren’t compromising, she was happy for us. Not counting the new construction (which there were at least three of), we had seen some thirty plus houses. That said, Wendy would have shown us thirty more, maybe twice as many, to get us exactly what we liked, if we would have not liked this house. And all of them with a big SMILE!
We’ve already told Wendy when the time comes to sell this house, we’re calling her!

As a means of brief background…. My wife and I came over here to the Twin Cities from Appleton, Wisconsin. We came in the worst real estate market in US history and actually did not sell our home for 22 months. I tell you this because it will illustrate the level of service you can expect from Wendy.

I would consider myself high maintenance when it comes to house shopping. I wasn’t going to settle for a house, nor was I going to rush myself into buying something just because my house sold. Overthe course of 8 months Wendy and I looked at many houses and condos across the twin cities and southern metro.

Wendy sold 2 townhouses for us and helped us buy our current home. We would highly recommend her services. She has a strong attention to detail and in-depth industry expertise. As a buyer, you don’t always know what features you’ll need in a house a few years out. Buying a house is a big investment, so you want to make the best decision given the available information. She also helped us negotiate some “extras” with our builder that turned out to be important features for us.
Her industry contacts are also very helpful. Wendy passed along several finance contacts, one of which we used and turned out to be a great resource that we’ve used several times.
She does her homework and is prepared. When she sold both of our townhomes, she compiled a book of comparable townhomes for sale in our area with details on the features on each home. When we first decided to start looking to buy a home, the whole process seemed a little overwhelming. We tried to look online by ourselves, but that’s where we found Wendy.
